Furniture Disposal in Vauxhall SW8 – High-Rise Flat Clearance on the 11th Floor
On Tuesday, 2nd September, our team completed a particularly challenging furniture disposal job for a client living in a high-rise property in Vauxhall, SW8 1GR. The booking was made last-minute at 12:30 PM, with the client requesting a same-day collection at 2:00 PM—just an hour and a half notice.
Thanks to our responsive scheduling, we were able to assign a nearby team, who arrived at the property by 2:10 PM.
What Was Collected
The client needed a flat clearance, which included:
- 1 sofa
- 1 TV stand
- 1 double mattress
- 2 bedside tables
- 1 headboard
- Several smaller household items
The job was based on the 11th floor of a building with lift access, which helped, but moving larger furniture pieces still required careful handling and coordination.
Navigating Access & Parking Challenges
While the building had a working lift, the access to the loading bay and street parking was quite limited. With some creative thinking and local knowledge, our team managed to find a suitable spot nearby—minimising delays and avoiding extra charges for the client.
The entire job was completed by 2:55 PM, taking around 45 minutes from start to finish.
Van Load & Pricing
The total waste removed filled roughly 1/3 of a large Luton box van, equivalent to a standard full load in a transit tipper van. The client was charged £290, which was paid on completion. As always, before and after photos were taken to document the amount removed and the cleared, tidy space left behind.
