Challenging Sofa Removal in Islington N1 – Dismantled to Fit Through the Door
On Thursday, 4th of September, we tackled a tricky furniture removal job for a client in Islington, N1 8DL. The job involved a 3-seater leather sofa that was too large to fit through the door — unless the arms were removed first.
The sofa was located inside a ground-floor flat, but access was tight enough that taking it out in one piece wasn’t an option.
The Request: Flexible, Short-Notice Help
The client first got in touch on Wednesday, the 3rd of September, looking for someone available either same-day or next-day to help with the removal. After confirming the details, we scheduled the job for Thursday at 2:00 PM.
We arrived on-site at 3:00 PM, with the client’s full consent for the slight delay, and got to work right away.
The Job: Carefully Dismantled and Removed
With tight clearance at the door, our team had to remove the arms from the sofa in order to get it out without causing any damage to the property — or the item itself.
Once dismantled, the sofa was moved out safely and loaded into the transit tipper van. The entire job was done on the spot, and we made sure to leave the area clean and tidy.
What the Client Paid
The total cost for the removal was £100, which covered:
- ¼ load of a small transit tipper van
- Labour for dismantling and removal
- Careful handling and disposal
The client was happy with the result and appreciated our flexibility and attention to detail.
