On Sunday morning, 31st August, we carried out a garden waste collection in Hornsey, N8 0AJ for a local client who contacted us the day before. The booking came in on Saturday, and the client specifically asked for a next-day collection, which we were happy to arrange.
This job involved mainly green waste and light garden debris, all neatly placed at the front of the property for easy access.
What Was Collected?
When our team arrived at 10:50 AM, everything was ready for removal. The waste included:
- Several rubbish bags filled with green waste
- One long wooden board
- Two plastic containers containing small wooden offcuts and bits
Since the items were already prepared and placed outside, the collection itself was quick and hassle-free. Everything was loaded into the van by 11:00 AM, making this a smooth and efficient 10-minute job.

The total amount of waste collected was measured as 1/3 of a small transit tipper van load—a bit more than the previous job we did that day, but still a manageable size.
The client paid £130 in cash on completion. We always aim to keep things simple, and in this case, the clear pricing and fast turnaround left the client satisfied.
